Future Posts

This plugin is in development right now and is almost complete.

Talk to any major bloggers and they can tell you there is one simple rule to follow when you blog: blog often. Many bloggers recommend blogging at least once a day. This sounds like a lot of work, but another thing that almost all the major bloggers do is write their posts in advance and schedule them to post at a later date. This is a fantastic way to ensure that you get fresh content daily in order to interest both your blog’s readers and the search engines.

However, scheduling posts for the future does nothing for you right now. Why shouldn’t it?

That is what my Future Posts plugin aims to do, provide benefit for your hard work right now. How does it do this? By giving you a widget and template tag for you to embed a teaser about your upcoming posts on your site. This way your readers will see what is coming and will want to come back to see the content of that post later.

It also serves to modivate you, the blogger, to keep your post queue filled up and to chose enticing titles that will interest your readers.
